OUR COMMITMENT AND MISSION STATEMENTS

HISTORY

Rochester Tube Products, Ltd. (RTP) is a closely held company whose primary business is that of providing precision, cut-to-length tube products in high volume directly to the manufacturers and intermediate suppliers who incorporate the tube into their own products. The majority of the Company's products are automotive related and installed on several models produced domestically by the major manufacturers.

RTP began in 1973 when Mr. Bernard Fischer purchased a used screw machine to cut a single low-volume product for a small local fabricating company. He installed the machine in his residential garage in Rochester, Michigan. From this inauspicious beginning, Mr. Fischer began supplying cut-to-length tube parts to other fabricators and subsequently secured a contract directly with Ford Motor Company. As business grew, Mr. Fischer added a second and third machine and relocated his operation to a series of increasingly larger rented buildings in the Rochester area.

RTP was incorporated in 1977 with Mr. Fischer being the single stockholder. Since 1990, the Company's ownership has been distributed to other family members.

In 1981, Mr. Fischer purchased a 10,000 sq. ft. building in Rochester and in 1988 leased an adjacent 8,000 sq. ft. building. By 1988, RTP had grown to 15 cut-off machines and was now a million-dollar enterprise.

In February, 1994, RTP relocated its corporate offices and operations to a modern 30,000 sq. foot facility on four acres in Shelby Township, Michigan.

Today, Rochester Tube Products, Ltd. continues its history of providing high quality products to its customers. With its 29 cut-off machines, RTP produces over 40 million cut to length tube products from 25 million feet of material annually.
